Conducting Investigations

What is this training about?

The Acas Code of Practice on disciplinary and grievance procedures requires sufficient investigations to establish the facts of cases. These investigations must be carried out fairly and thoroughly. This one day practical session will help you to manage what is possibly the most important and often most challenging part of managing disciplinary and grievance cases.

Who should attend?

The course is suitable for anyone who may be undertaking an investigation, such as line managers and HR professionals who may be supporting line managers through the process. This is also suitable for the more experienced as a refresher. You do not need any prior experience of undertaking investigations. However, a basic understanding of disciplinary and grievance case management would help get the most from this course. This can be gained by attending our Managing Disciplinary and Grievance Cases course

"Very good, well presented" - Ben Golds, Horsham DC

"I wish I had known some of this before being dropped into the investigation pond and told to swim!" - Malcolm Laverty, West Sussex County Council

100% of previous delegates would recommend this session to others.
