Developing Effective Partnerships & Community Engagement

This programme looks at how to facilitate closer working at a local level between organisations involved in the delivery of local services; involving citizens’ and the Councillor's role in facilitating effective partnerships. The programme also focuses on how to support effective community engagement and leadership within your council.

Collaborative working is not new to authorities and Councillors but the modernisation and efficiency agenda has put a new emphasis on co delivery and the issues you may be asked to tackle. Localism and the Big Society means that councils are at the forefront of engagement with the public, private and voluntary sectors.
