Developing a Performance Improvement Culture

The Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) Framework and the requirement for demonstrable “proven capacity to improve” will mean members need to develop an understanding of Performance Management and how to lead a culture of performance and improvement within their council. The new performance framework, the Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA), will see a reduction in the number of indicators currently required by central government, and establish priorities for each area, tailored to local needs through the Local Area Agreement.
