We have received details of UNISON’s consultation of its branches relating to their 2020 pay claim.
They have proposed that the pay claim be for 10% or £10 per hour, whichever is the greater. For reference, the minimum NJC hourly rate wef 1 April 2019 is £9 per hour.
GMB and Unite are also consulting on what they would like to see included in the pay claim.
The National Employers are meeting the TU Side on 24 July to formally receive the unions’ pay claim. There will then follow a process of consultation with councils.
