HR Surgeries

As a result of COVID19 we started running HR Surgery Zoom sessions for our member councils. Each session gives our HR professionals the opportunity to raise questions and to discuss challenges with each other. These are hugely popular and we are continuing them fortnightly.

Health & Safety network

The group provides an opportunity for Health and Safety professionals to discuss challenges and issues they are facing whether pandemic related or not, and to share experiences and best practice in supporting colleagues. It’s also a great opportunity to meet new colleagues across the region.

Associate member HR Surgeries

We also run Associate member HR surgeries, where our associate members are invited to ask us for advice face-to-face on a Zoom chat and hold discussions with the group.

Local Democracy & Accountability network

The LDA network, led by our Chairman, is an annual network open to both councillors and officers. It aims to develop knowledge and share good practice in respect of local democracy, local leadership and scrutiny. The network focuses on the key legislation and policy discussions impacting local government.

Education HR network

Attended regularly by the LGA and Department for Education, members of this group set their own agenda. The main focus is sharing experiences and knowledge to help and support colleagues across the region.
